This bagel recipe is incredibly easy to make and is super delicious. I hope you enjoy this recipe!
Ingredients:
For the Dough:
- 3 cups of water
- 2 tbsp. of brown sugar
- 4 1/2 tsp of yeast
- 1080g of all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp of salt
- 2 tbsp. of cooking oil
For the Boiling:
- 3 quarts of water
- 3 tbsp. of brown sugar
- 1 tsp of baking soda
Instructions:
- Mix the water, sugar, yeast, flour, and salt together.
- Knead the dough for 10 minutes.
- After the kneading add the oil in and knead until it becomes smooth.
- Oil a large bowl and place the dough inside to rest for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and cut it into 16 pieces.
- Shape each bagel and let them sit for another 20 minutes.
- After they are all puffy and risen boil them in the baking soda and brown sugar water.
- Boil them on each side for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Place them on a lined baking tray greased with butter.
- Add whatever toppings of your choice (everything, sesame, poppy, etc.)
- Bake for 15 minutes at 425°
- Flip the bagels over and bake for another 5-10 minutes for until golden brown.
- Cool and enjoy!
